Robonica Roboni-I Programmable Gaming Robot
A Hot Christmas Gift for 2010 is the Robonica Robani-I Programmable Gaming Robot.
The Roboni-I toy robot has infrared sensors and radio frequency identification chips that allow the robot to react to the game's accessories and other competing Robani-I robots, helping it to avoid obstacles, navigate autonomously, and participate in any of the six included games.
You can also participate in interactive online gaming using any of the Robani-I robot's programmed routines. You can identify other robots online as "friend" or "foe" and the robot will interact with them accordingly.
The games involve the robot picking up different colors by driving over encoded pads and delivering them to the hub before time expires, collecting a ball while avoiding "bullets," dropping electronic "land mines" to obstruct competing robots, and more.
The robot's dual monowheel design provides nimble 360º movement as it moves between accessories--you can control it from up to 30' away. For more Robaini-I Specifications.

PC-Game Roboni-I Robot
Robonica Robain-I is a programmable gaming robot that competes against the clock or other robots in a series of games where you control the robot's movements (Play Video).
Including seven games with interactive environments the PC Game Robot is composed of pieces that include a base station, energy port, special effects hub, and three universal gaming pads; each accessory may be individually programmed using a simple, drag-and-drop interface with the included software (requires a PC running Windows XP or Vista).
Depending upon the game you select The Robonica Robani-I gaming robot (or modify using the software) each accessory serves a unique purpose: the base station can act as a depot, timer, or target; the energy port ejects a ball (which is corralled by the robot's built-in scoop) and recharges the robot; and the special effects hub provides robots with advanced maneuvers and abilities.
Cutting Edge Gaming Robot Technology
When Roboni-I senses something, he responds immediately by executing complex behaviors. For instance, if he collides with a wall, he'll whistle with displeasure, turn around, and proceed in the opposite direction. If he spots his BaseStation or another Roboni-i unit, he might fire off his laser. If left by himself for more than 30 seconds, he may even begin to explore the environment on his own. He'll always remain near his BaseStation, though, so you don't have to worry about him wandering off by himself.
With his futuristic architecture and space-age silver color, Roboni-i would fit right at home in a science fiction movie. He features a durable plastic chassis that protects his intricate inner technology.
Inside of Roboni-i are 12 infrared sensors, which the robot uses to sense his surroundings, "talk" to other robots and communicate with the included BaseStation. He also features highly-sensitive touch sensors on his front and back bumpers, allowing him to sense even the slightest physical contact.
Toy Robot
The toy robot portion of Robanica's Robani-I has nimbe fast remote control action.
With a full, 360-degree range of motion, Roboni-i is incredibly agile. You control Roboni-i using a comfortable handheld controller, which communicates wirelessly with the robot. The controller's LCD screen displays various aspects of the robot's status, such as his level of "happiness," his battery life, current game mode, and so on.
PC Game Robot
The Robani-I is surprisingly fast, and he/she iseven capable of stunts and loops. Keep in mind that the plastic frame of the Robonica Robani-I houses complex electronics, so don't get too wild with your stunts. The robot is by no means an all-terrain vehicle and is best driven on a hard, flat surfaces.
